Mission Statement
The work of PLOWS is performed by a staff of professionals, in-home workers and volunteers. Principal social staff have Master's Degrees in social work and counseling in addition to extensive direct experience with older persons' problems. In-Home workers have practical experience in providing housekeeping and homemaker service. Homemakers receive special training in personal care before they are placed with a client.
Volunteer drivers are selected for their ability to be compatible with clients they serve. PLOWS is guided by a Board of Directors comprised of community leaders.
PLOWS has a full and part-time staff of 47 professionals and in-home workers and 35 volunteers who work in social service programs. Another 100 volunteers provide additional assistance through out year.
